Welcome to the Advanced Solutions blog on Mobile Business. Since this is our first post let me tell you a little bit about what this blog is about a little bit about myself so you know whether you want to even pay attention J of course I know you do.

Background

I am a senior consultant for Advanced Solutions (well guess you know that since this is our company’s blog site), due to our demanding jobs we regularly use mobile devices and applications, these range from RF equipment which we spec and configure for our manufacturing/logistics clients, Enterprise Digital Assistants which are targeted to our CRM, Service management applications, smartphones and PDA’s in use with our own corporate applications which we use in our day to day activities. My background personally goes all the way back to the Apple Newton so I might know a little bit about mobile applications (yes I did develop my own newton apps in case your interested).

What is this Blog about?

This blog is targeted specifically to enterprise mobile applications and devices, I think there are plenty of good blogs related to mobile devices etc but since I deal with enterprise mobile applications in my day job I can add quite a bit of information from that angle and I hope you find this helpful.

Ok, so let’s get it out there, I am currently using a HTC tilt (no I’m not happy but more about that later), some of the enterprise applications we use or have used and I’ll talk more about these in future postings.
